| Christmas Appeal - Gifts for patients | ||||
| With help from our fantastic supporters we have made Christmas a little brighter for over 150 young cancer patients who had to spend Christmas day in hospital. The money was raised via our 2006 Christmas Appeal, which was launched by Trust Patron and Comedienne Catherine Tate. Companies, schools, pubs and other organisations took part in Tinsel Tuesday and Dress Up Posh Days to raise funds. Laura's trust supplied in excess of 150 MP3 players to 19 hospitals admitting teenage cancer patients during the festive season from Southampton to Aderdeen. We were delighted to receive fantastic support from Sony Uk Ltd and Tesco who both donated MP3 players and HMV who donated other goodies. Our grateful thanks also to Pass The Parcel Overnight Ltd, who ensured all the parcels were delivered in time for Christmas! We have received some very moving letters of thanks and emails from patients, their families and staff at the hospitals. Extracts of some are bolow. Only letters without sensitive details and names have been used. Click on the image to read
