David Brown employees clock up 210 miles for LCYCT & Huddersfield Hospice
The money raised for the LCYCT was through a sponsored 170 mile bike ride and 40 mile walk. Fifteen employees cycled 170 miles from Morecambe to Bridlington to raise an astonishing £1,911 for the fight against cancer in young people. Staff took part in a sponsored walk for Kirkwood.
Wayne Ball, general manager at David Brown said: "David Brown has a strong connection with local charities and we are delighted to provide continued support through fund raising activities. I am extremely proud of everyone involved in both events, I personally know how tough the bike ride was and its success was down to team work. A huge well done to all."
The Laura Crane Youth Cancer trust took part in fundraising activities last year to celebrate David Brown's 150 years of operation.
The charity would like to thank everybody at David Brown that took part in the cycling challenge and contributed to such an astonishing total. We hope you are all very proud of your achievements; both on the bikes and fundraising!
