Fuelling the Sleigh Together

Thanks to the generosity of our fabulous supporters we were once again able to send out hundreds of special gifts to all the young cancer patients (aged 13-24) spending their Christmas in hospital. Gift bundles were sent to 406 young cancer patients in 45 hospitals throughout the UK and Ireland.

As you can imagine this period is a very busy time for the charity and for hospital staff, but we will be updating you shortly with feedback from patients and hospital staff.

In the meantime, we would like to share one piece of feedback we have received from a patient called Chloe.

"I wanted to just say a massive thank you to the trust!  I'm currently undergoing chemo, and the Laura Crane trust sent a load of gifts to my TYA ward where I picked one up! Having chocolates and a gift voucher sent really cheered me up, it's such a lovely gesture and I know a lot of us on the ward were really chuffed.

I have spent my IWOOT voucher on a space hopper haha so pretty excited for that to arrive! Thank you again, it's such a lovely thoughtful thing to do, I'll be sure to encourage people to support the charity."

We would just like to say a huge thank you from the team. None of what we do would be possible without the good people that say yes to our request for help.

A special thank you to our Corporate Santas, The One17 Charitable Trust, Fitton and Co and Pollards Moving and Storage. A huge thanks also to selection box extraordinaires KCSA College and their angels who continued the work of our much missed Father Christmas Clinton Stringer.

And thank you to supporters Ann Stainthorpe, Lesley Drake, Jill Heywood, Janine Palmer, Liz Scahill, Debra Lumb and Ann Mervill who joined us and Ramsdens and LV for providing Christmas elves to help create gift boxes, lovingly wrap and package hundreds of gifts for delivery.

What we have collectively achieved is very special.

And finally thanks to you and our fabulous, festive, fundraisers, the Fuel the Sleigh Prize Draw raised over £1,000. A special thank you to Turbocharger Services UK Ltd for generously donating the S1 Electric Motorbike as the first prize.
