Volunteering
As a volunteer for The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust you can help in many ways. Here are just a few....
- Supermarket/street collections - can you volunteer a couple of hours to help at collections? We pair people up so you don't collect alone and we generally ask you to take a two hour stint. The more people who are willing to help, the more collections we can hold- so please contact the charity if you can help.
- At Events - volunteers are valued for their help at many events including our annual ball, marshalling at charity runs, offering free DJ facilities, face-to-face magic etc. to entertain guests at events, selling Prize Draw tickets - and in many other ways.
- Office work - if you are based in the Huddersfield area, know your way round a computer and would like to volunteer in the trust office, it would be great to hear from you. We need help with a wide variety of tasks, including our day-to-day administration, help with mail-shots, internet research and data inputting.
- Fundraising Committees - This is great way to have fun with your friends or work colleagues whilst raising money and the profile of the charity at the same time. Set up a fundraising committee to organise events and whether it be a raffle or a Ball, we can help you with ideas and tips on how to organise and publicise your event and maximise funds raised.
