Buy our Christmas Cards - Request a copy of our corporate catalogue of our attractive, high-quality Christmas cards. The Laura Crane Trust will receive 40% of the value of your order. A non-corporate flyer is also available for your family and friends.
Autumn Ball Sponsorship - If you choose the title sponsorship for our high-profile, flagship event of the year, your company name will be on the front cover of the programme and will be included in our website publicity e.g. 'The InBev UK Hollywood Ball'. Other sponsorship packages are available and all sponsors are acknowledged in the programme and around the function room on the night. Company donations of the main auction items and prizes are also clearly acknowledged.
There will, on occasion, be sponsorship opportunities for other events too. Let us know if you would like to be invited to sponsor an event.
Challenges - Strengthening teamwork, motivating staff and creating a positive image within the local/regional/national community are all benefits for your company when publicly supporting a charity. You may choose to help in our fight against cancer in young people by getting your staff involved in treks to Nepal and elsewhere, survival adventures, challenges and corporate competition events.
Props - We can provide you with promotional items to help with your fundraising, such as pin-badges, leaflets, brochures and newsletters, button badges and T-shirts, balloons, collecting buckets and boxes. It may be possible, depending on distance, to have Jacquie & Malcolm's ' Laura Crane Trust' Morris Minor van on show at your event.
Gifts in Kind - Some companies choose to donate ‘gifts in kind’, which are useful as prizes or auction items for use at our events, or offer office equipment. The charity holds an annual Autumn Prize Draw and we are always grateful for good quality prizes which help to increase our profits.
We are particularly grateful for breaks and holidays, such as the trip to Hollywood donated by InBev UK as the star auction item for our ‘Hollywood’ Ball.
Expertise - Loaning a member of staff, free to the charity for one day a week, can increase our staff expertise in areas such as marketing or graphic design - or, say, by voluntarily designing some posters etc. for an event.
Merchandise - The charity can sell ‘gifts in kind’, merchandise provided free as 'donated goods', helping to raise extra funds for our charitable aims. We are extremely grateful to the Brighouse Distribution centre for Hallmark, who supported us royally in this way for some five years, enabling us to raise thousands of pounds. McBrides, a Bradford company, is a tremendous help too, having been helping us in the same way since June 2008.
Adoption/Partnership - Adopt the Laura Crane Trust as your chosen charity for a year or longer. Come and have a chat with us. Arcadia's national chain of OUTFIT stores in out-of-town retail parks adopted the Laura Crane Trust for a full three years, during which time they organised in-store fundraising, fundraising days for customers to join in and some staff fundraising. One lady shaved her head for us, a young man took his dad with him on a strenuous overseas challenge and the stores all had the incentive of being OUTFIT's top fundraising store each year. In total they raised over £60,000 over the 3-year period - and they also raised our profile from as far north as Inverness to as far south as Southampton.
Employee fundraising - as a way of motivating staff, many companies, to encourage their employees to raise funds for charity, will 'match' (to an agreed limit) the amount raised by their staff for any events they organise or for sponsorship they raise. The company can help, say, with free marketing or by donating prizes or auction items.
Payroll Giving - again, in demonstating yours as a caring company, this is an excellent tool for recruiting, retaining and motivating good staff - giving your employees the opportunity to give to charity before tax and creating a positive company profile within the locality. Again, to varying degrees, some companies will match their staff's donations. We will be more than happy to come and speak to you about setting up this very easy 'extra' for your company.
Cause-related Marketing - We have a number of smaller supportive companies who agree to donate a percentage of their sales income at our events. This is a great way of introducing your products to new customers and raising funds for the charity. Larger companies may prefer to produce or design a special product from which you donate all or a % of the profits to the trust. Breakfast cereal and other manufacturers frequently run promotions where they will award a set amount from each item sold to a chosen charity.
You or your employees might have some ideas of your own which we would be happy to discuss with you. As you will see from the examples above, getting involved with a charity can be a very rewarding experience for everyone in the company.
